  1. Our trip to Tower Hill on April 26 was a big success. Because it was Arbor Day, many professional arborists were there, pruning trees and telling us why they took out certain branches on a Dawn Redwood, Kousa Dogwood, Cedars, Magnolias, and cherry trees. We also enjoyed the daffodil field, forsythia, tulips, heaths and syringa that were in bloom. We now have a membership, so if 2 members plan to be in the Worcester, MA area, call Marlene to get in free. See PROGRAMS for some pictures.

  2. Raffle tickets will be sold at the Annual Luncheon June 5, at the Garden Tour June 29 and at the Artists on the Green August 15. The winning ticket will be selected August 15 on the Green in the afternoon. One may also send a check to cover the tickets to our PO Box 107, Sandwich, NH 03227 with a stamped addressed envelope.

  3. Laura Hubbard is a rug hooking artist, and she has donated a 2′x3′ rug for us to raffle. The rug has a value of $750, and tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
Laura’s rug will go to the winning ticket at Artisans on the Green (AOG), August 15 in Sandwich in front of the Industries, rain or shine. The Bearcamp Valley Garden Club will have individual garden artisans demonstrating the art of flower conditioning and arranging, selling perennials, dahlias in pots as well as cut in bouquets and other flower arrangements, and photo note cards. And, we will have our garden wizard, Judy McLean, on hand to answer all your gardening questions. Don’t miss it.
